A Pilgrim’s Pride Bowl rematch will highlight the 2008 football season for the Navarro Bulldogs.
The Bulldogs will play Georgia Military Saturday, Sept. 6 at Tiger Stadium with a 1 p.m. kickoff for Navarro’s home opener.
The Bulldogs defeated Georgia Military in the 2007 Pilgrim’s Pride Bowl 24-21 at Mount Pleasant on Dec. 8, 2007.
The only other non-conference game is the season opener on Saturday, Aug. 30 at Coffeyville.
The Bulldogs will play a total of five home games.
All but one of the games have a 3 p.m. kickoff time.
Navarro will open conference play with Kilgore College at 7 p.m., Saturday, Sept. 20 at Tiger Stadium.
The Sept. 20 game will be a rematch of the 2007 SWJCFC Championship game at Kilgore College, which Navarro won 54-28, getting revenge for a 28-26 loss earlier in the season.
Also highlighting the schedule will be a matchup on Oct. 4 against arch-rival Trinity Valley, Saturday, Oct. 4 at Tiger Stadium. The game is scheduled to kickoff at 3 p.m.
Homecoming is scheduled for Saturday, Oct. 25 against Arkansas Baptist at Tiger Stadium with a 3 p.m. kickoff time.
Navarro’s other away games include Tyler Junior College (Sept. 27), NEO A&M (Oct. 11) and Blinn (Nov. 1).
