Boyd 60th Anniversary

Sixty years ago we stood and said “I do,”
Our love like a rosebud, so very fresh and new.
The year 2008 seemed so far away
We never gave a thought of where we would be today.
Our days were full of happiness, joy, and yes, a little pain
Just like the tiny rosebud that need both
Sunshine and some rain.
Sixty years we have been together — oh, how time passes by
The rosebud is no longer, each petal a child,
A beautiful rose for all the world to see.
How happy we are as they honor us this day
Now just sit back and enjoy as they add
To the family bouquet.
