Tanner 50th Anniversary

Bill and Anna Tanner celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary July 11, 2009 and plan a celebratory trip to Colorado.

Bill Tanner and Anna Beth Fulton were married in Corsicana on July 11, 1959. They moved to the Dallas area shortly after, where they lived until their retirement in 2000. Following their retirement, they traveled for two years before deciding on Denton for their retirement home.

Bill spent six years in the Army reserves, where he attended jump school and armored training. He retired from Halliburton Industries in December 2000 after 27 years of service. Anna worked in the insurance business for a number of years, and worked for the United States Postal Service before their retirement.

The Tanners attend the Garden Ridge Church of Christ in Lewisville, and enjoy traveling, church activities, spending time with their children and grandchildren, attending their sporting events, and long walks together. Bill likes to fish, while Anna prefers reading or playing games on her computer.

They are parents of Tim and Judy Tanner of Lewisville, and Jeff and Cathy Stewart of Lake Dallas. They also have five grandchildren.
