Corsicana — John and Diana Robinson celebrated their 40th wedding anniversary July 9, 2011, at LaPradera Mexican Restaurant in Corsicana, surrounded by friends and family. They were married July 13, 1971 at Memorial Baptist Church in Corsicana.

They were married while John was in the United States Army. After moving from Fort Hood, Germany, and North Carolina, they settled back in Texas.  John worked at Central Freight Lines, Riley Transportation, and currently at the Texas Department of Transportation.  Diana has been working for 7-11, Inc. for over 26 years. They now spend their time working, serving on the Retreat City Council, and enjoying time with their grandchildren.  In John’s spare time he volunteers for the Retreat Volunteer Fire Department and is a member of the Vietnam Veterans.

They have a son, Michael Robinson of Corsicana and wife Natalie, and daughter Melissa Bennett of Corsicana and husband Ron. They have four grandchildren: Brooklyn and Brayden Robinson and Robert and Ashley Bennett of Corsicana.
