Corsicana High School Principal Rick Larkin was reassigned within the district Monday, Superintendent Don Denbow said. Larkin, who’s tenure lasted almost two years, was replaced by interim principal Dr. Keith Moore.

Larkin previously held the same post in Athens before hired in Corsicana.

“We wanted to move in a different direction,” Denbow said as to the reason for the abrupt change.

Moore takes over with only three weeks on the academic calendar.

When asked about rumors of Larkin being escorted off the high school campus, Denbow vehemently denied all allegations.

“No, no, no,” he said.

The change goes into effect Tuesday.

Denbow gave no additional information as to the quick change.
