Business Notes

Navarro Regional Hospital

Darlene Holloway and Beth Bolen have been named as the Navarro Regional Hospital Auxiliary Volunteers of the Month for July and August.

Holloway retired after 37 years with Dallas Independent School District as a home school coordinator.

She is one of the coordinators and volunteers at the Pelham History Museum to bring back the history of this small town.

She began her volunteering at Navarro Regional Hospital in February of 1992. She volunteers with outpatient surgery on Wednesday mornings, registers patients, and escorts customers to lab, radiology, OP surgery and many other areas.

Because Holloway lives so far out she is not able to serve on committees, but she continues to spread the word about the auxiliary. She recruits people in the grocery store or wherever she may be.

Holloway said she is very proud of the organization.

Bolen retired from Family Service after 28 years. She continues to volunteer at her church, the advisory board at Navarro College and more.

She began her volunteering at Navarro Regional Hospital in March of 1992. Bolen volunteers at the front information desk on Monday mornings, runs errands for all departments, delivers flowers and mail to patients, stocks rooms with hangers, sews baby stockings for newborns, helps serve at different hospital functions and much more.

She serves as chairman of the scholarship committee and memorials and was the 2003-2004 president.
