Helen E. Butler

Corsicana —

Mrs. Helen E. Butler, age 89, passed away Wednesday, Jan. 2, 2013, peacefully at her home at Cryer Creek.  She was born April 19, 1923 at Cryer Creek, Texas to Eddie and Lillie Cruse.

Mrs. Butler had taught school in Barry and Blooming Grove.  She was a lifelong resident of Cryer Creek.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Billy C. Butler, and a sister, Jewel Magee.

She is survived by two nephews, Terry Miller and wife Linda, and Dicky Miller and wife Cathy; a niece, Dianne Walker and husband Bob; and several great nieces and nephews.

Graveside services will be 10 a.m. Friday, Jan. 4, 2013 at Oakwood Cemetery with Dr. Gary W. Johnson officiating.  Burial will follow at Oakwood Cemetery.
