Derden-Mangum Engagement

Karen and Roy Lynn Derden of Wortham, formerly of Kerens, are proud to announce the engagement and approaching marriage of their daughter, Neelee Gayle Derden, to Andy Ray Mangum. He is the son of Sherry and Kurt Pless of Santa Fe, Texas and Mike Mangum and Barbara Dirba of East Bernard, Texas.

The bride-to-be is a 1999 graduate of Kerens High School, 2000 graduate of Navarro College, 2002 graduate of Sam Houston State University with a bachelor’s of science degree in kinesiology, and a 2008 graduate of The University of North Texas with a master’s degree in education administration. She is currently a teacher and coach for Keller Independent School District.

The prospective groom is a 2001 graduate of Santa Fe High School and a 2006 graduate of Texas A&M University Kingsville where he received a bachelor’s of science degree in kinesiology and was a member of the Javelina football team. He is a specialist in the United States Army and is currently in training to become an Army Ranger.

The wedding will take place at the home of the bride’s parents in June 2008. The couple will reside where the groom is stationed.
