Felton-Odom Engagement

Marcia and Barton Felton of Thorndale announce the engagement and forthcoming marriage of their daughter, Summer Rachelle, to Leonard Ray Odom III, son of Paula and Leonard Odom Jr. of Kerrville. Grandparents of the bride-elect are Marvin and Millie Rodenbeck, Frank Felton and Janell Felton and great-grandmother is Frances Hilton, all of Thorndale. Grandparents of the bridegroom-to-be are Peggy Odom and the late Leonard Odom Sr. of San Antonio and the late W.M. and Pauline Halsell of Port Arthur.

Summer is a graduate of Thorndale High School. Len is a graduate of Kerrville High School. Summer and Len both received their degrees from Texas A&M University in College Station. Summer is an advisor and lecturer at Texas A&M for the Ag Leadership, Education and Communications Department and is currently pursuing a doctorate degree. Len is a superintendent for Bartlett Cocke General Contractors in Bryan.

The couple is planning an August 9 wedding on the San Gabriel River in Thorndale. The Odoms once resided in Corsicana where Leonard Odom Jr. played football and went on to become an All-American playing at Texas A&M University.
