First Independent Baptist Church officers and members will observe their pastor Donald Lacey’s eighth anniversary July 6, 10-11 and 13.

At 3:30 p.m. July 6, Pastor Dairy Johnson and Bethlehem Baptist Church will be the guests.

At 7 p.m. July 10, Pastor John Baker and Harmony Baptist Church will be the guests.

At 7 p.m. July 11, Pastor Donné Watson and New Cornerstone Baptist Church will be the guests.

Lone Star Cowboy Church of Navarro County invites you to join in at 8:30 a.m. each Sunday for worship service at the Navarro County Exposition Center, 4021 W. State Highway 22. The first service in the new location will be at 10 a.m. July 20. The new church address is 4495 W. Highway 22, and is located one mile west of the Expo Center. A hamburger lunch will follow morning worship. A Lil Wrangers Rodeo will begin at 12:30 p.m. with mutton busting and stick horse races. Other activities include music provided by our worship band, hay rides and water wars. The public is invited to join the festivities.

Love Chapel Baptist Church at 400 North Benton St. will observe Youth Day this Sunday. Sunday School will begin at 9:45 a.m. and morning worship at 11 a.m. Service will continue at 3:30 p.m. The theme for this occasion is “Disciples for Christ” from the scripture Galations 2:20. The guest church will be Greater Mt. Zion Baptist Church of Cleburne with the spoken word brought by the Rev. David Baldwin.

Memorial Baptist Church, 1700 N. 45th St., across from Corsicana High School, has planned summer fun for everyone. If you are looking for good, clean, Christian fun, great opportunities await you.

Beginning at 6 p.m. July 4, a cookout will be held at the church. The church will provide meat and buns. Bring the “fixins” for hamburgers and hot dogs, chips, dips, drinks, dessert, lawn chairs and outdoor games of your choice. You can eat, have fellowship, play games, and enjoy the fireworks at dark just across the way at I.O.O.F. Park.

“Movies Under the Stars” will be held throughout the summer. The next movie will be July 18.

Men’s Community Prayer Breakfast meets at 6:45 a.m. Wednesday in the Lone Star Room of the Walker Dining Hall on the Navarro College campus. This meeting is open to all men in the community. Open Bible study and gospel singing is held from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. every Thursday at the Senior Activity Center, 919 W. Park Ave., Corsicana. Roane Chapel Full Gospel Church, 100 South Parham, cordially invites all church congregations to come and worship at 3 p.m. Sunday, July 13, 2008 for the Annual Men’s Day program. Unity Baptist Church, 406 S. 34th St., where Brother Chad Owens is pastor, invites you to services: Sunday — Sunday school for all ages at 9:45 a.m., worship and children’s church at 11 a.m., Bible study classes at 5 p.m., and worship at 6 p.m.; and Wednesday — prayer meeting at 7 p.m. King’s Kids Class meets the second and fourth Wednesdays of each month.
