20 on 20 — A great idea for Navarro County

Help the local economy: Spend $20 on June 20

So what can you do to help the local economy? We have an idea for you.The Daily Sun is promoting a venture this month called “20 on 20.” The idea is for residents in our coverage area to spend $20 on June 20 locally on something you otherwise may not have purchased on that day.

If every resident of Navarro County would spend $20 on that day, it would generate $1 million in sales.

OK, so not all of our 50,000 or so residents work, or are even old enough to work, or have the means to do so, but imagine the impact if every capable person did. You possibly could be the spark to help that small business that is struggling due to a slowed national economy.

Here is your opportunity to do a small part to help turn things around in the Golden Circle area. Maybe it’s a dinner shirt, an oil change, a round of golf or a new book.
