Corsicana — Election thoughts

To the Editor: The Election of 2012 will determine whether America will be a nation of individuals living in freedom or a collective under totalitarian control.

It is not about race or allegiance to a life-long political party of our parents in which my team can beat your team, or vice versa, but allegiance to one nation under God in which there is liberty and justice for all rather than the few in power.

We will individually become responsible for living under the law of the Constitution, or we will collectively live under the whims of dictators as in Cuba, North Korea, Venezuela, etc. or even under Sharia as in Iran and the Muslim Brotherhood, already at ease in the White House.

We have come too far, since fundamentally transforming how nations are governed after defeating King George and the British Imperialists, to surrender now to those who would enslave us again using EPA rules of "sustainability" to take us back to the 1700's, but deny us cheap energy, even the use of wood for cooking and warmth, and even prohibit the harvesting of rainwater and wildlife for sustenance while packing us into housing projects.

The fundamental transformation to government control is the death of freedom.

Election season is full of conspiracies, voters shouldn't be fooled

Good article by Corsicana Daily Sun about all the hype President Obama and former Governor Romney have to debate about.  There was one topic during the debate that Obama stated "I gave General Motors a bail out of $49.4 billion dollars and Chrysler $12.5 billion dollars to save 1 million jobs."  What Romney should have mentioned was the government will lose billions on the deal. It's out about 1 billion in the bailout of Chrysler.  At GM the government is $27 billion in the hole right now.

While the CEO's at these 2 companies make millions of dollars, I don't think the tax payers should do any bailouts unless they cut those salaries until the balance is paid off.  The taxpayers shouldn't need to bail out millionaires.  Doesn't sound like good business to me.  No wonder our great country is so far in debt, it will be a wonder if we survive it.

The search for a cure

Through November 2008 there was no known cure for STUPIDITY.

Let’s pray that by November 2012, millions will have found a CURE!
