Lack of Integrity
To the Editor: In a TV interview, Pat Buchanan said that making promises you know you cannot keep indicates a character flaw — a lack of integrity. Why should anyone be surprised?
Integrity is oneness, wholeness. There is no deceit. Lack of integrity is living a lie. Besides personal disintegration which can exhibit itself in detachment, depression and substance abuse, the real danger of living a lie is blaming others when exposed, and rather than face the truth and its consequences, choosing to bring the house down upon everyone in it.
Living a lie is using another person's social security number, or forging a document when even Gov. Abernathy cannot find a legitimate birth certificate, or hiding academic records which show you were a foreign student, or concealing the fact that your school registration shows you were adopted and are a Muslim living in Indonesia, which does not accept dual citizenship, or suing the DOJ to prevent court movements which could expose you as a fraud.
