Letters to the Editor 10/20/12

Thankful for response

To the Editor: On behalf of my family and myself, I would like to express my appreciation for all the cards, letters, prayers and contributions that people have sent our way. I would like to say a special thank you to the Lone Star Cowboy Church family and Bro. Charky Marquis for the wonderful benefit they had for my family.

So many cards and prayers have been received and it has been overwhelming. There are so many people that helped with the benefit that I hate to name them in fear I might miss somebody. But I would like to say a special thanks to James and Lacy Spain, Jason and Osha Joles, Mike and Tamara Spain, John and Wanda Spain, J.D. Johnston and family, Mickey and Camille McCain, Chuck Rash, Bobby Brady, James Green, Tim Nicholson, Mrs. Bobbi Nicholson, and so many more that donated their time, money and effort. It was a huge success on a messy, rainy night. I will forever be thankful to each and every one of you.

I hope I can repay the favor to all of you. It has been a true blessing to see the friends and family I have that truly care about my family. Thank you to all my wonderful family for always being there when needed.

God has blessed me with a great wife, kids, friends and family.

Thanks again and God Bless,

Jason Bottoms

Now that the holidays for 2013 are behind us and we’ve had a brief moment to reflect back on all that has transpired, I can say that we at The Salvation Army are humbled and amazed by how this community came together to help meet the needs of so many struggling people.
