Bryant earns degree
Jeremy Bryant, son of Larry and Carol Bryant of Corsicana, has earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Church Ministry and Music at Southwestern Assemblies of God University in Waxahachie. he also earned an Associates Degree at Navarro in Business and Accounting. He is a member of the Praise Team at Calvary Worship Center.
UMHB Students listed on the Provost Honor Roll and the Dean’s Honor Roll for Spring 2012
Belton – The University of Mary Hardin-Baylor announced that 267 students have been listed on the spring 2012 Provost’s Honor Roll. To receive this recognition a student must achieve a 3.85 grade point average (GPA) or better on a 4.0 scale.
In conjunction with this, 408 students were named on the Dean’s Honor Roll for spring 2012. To receive this recognition, a student must achieve a GPA between 3.5 and 3.849.

student selected for Lone Star Leadership Academy
Rylie Morris, daughter of Robert and Lindsay Morris and a student at Mildred Elementary School in the Mildred Independent School District, has been selected to travel to the Dallas/Fort Worth area as a participant in Education in Action’s Lone Star Leadership Academy, June 10-15. Rylie’s selection for the Academy was based on her outstanding academic success, demonstrated leadership ability, a nomination from her teacher, Pamela Thomas, and her involvement in school and community activities. Education in Action, dedicated to empowering young people to be informed and active leaders in their communities, hosts the Lone Star Leadership Academy.
Joining a delegation of outstanding students from across the states, Rylie will develope leadership skills while learning about the great state of Texas and its leaders. She will learn about future career and internship opportunities and visit significant Texas sites including the U.S. Bureau of Engraving and Printing, The Dallas Museum of Nature and Science, the Amon Carter Museum, the Texas Civil War Museum, the Fort Worth Stockyards National Historical District, the National Cowgirl Museum and Hall of Fame, and the Sixth Floor Museum at Dealey Plaza. Additional activities will include the Summit Climbing Gym, the Fort Worth Botanic Gardens, and tours of the Dallas Cowboys Stadium and Rangers Ballpark in Arlington.
