Brown-Al-Mashouq Wedding

Shawna Brown and Yossef Al-Mashouq, both of Pflugerville, were joined in holy matrimony at Zilker Botanical Gardens in Austin on March 23, 2013. The Rev. Vickie L. Wood performed the double ring ceremony.

The bride is the daughter Glenda and Tom Traylor of Corsicana and Chuck Brown of Baytown. The groom is the son of Khalid and Dolores Al-Mashouq of Austin.

Matron of honor was Robyn Murrell. Bridesmaids were Rachel Chapa, Rebecca Lin, Crystal Peña, and Lydia Allen, with Anissa Peña as flower girl.

Serving as best man was Nabeel Al-Mashouq. Groomsmen were Tyson Ettmueller, Refugio Peña, Rogelio Peña, Domingo Mejia and Roman Guzman, with Aden Al-Mashouq as ringbearer. Ushers were Eddie Peña, Robert Hendon, Sean Isom, and Chris Borden.

The wedding backdrop was the natural environment of Zilker Botanical Gardens. Harpist Suzanne Ballum provided ceremony music in the garden.

A reception followed the ceremony in the Zilker Botanical Garden Center. Guests attended from Saudi Arabia, New Jersey, District of Columbia, Colorado, and all across Texas.
