Pope-Sanders Engagement

James and Tammy Hardin of Corsicana are pleased to announce the engagement and approaching marriage of their daughter, Nina Nicole Pope to Brice Alan Sanders of Corsicana. Brice is the son of Scott Sanders of Dawson and Sherrie Jamison of Corsicana.

The bride-to-be is a 2009 graduate of Navarro College and is currently employed by Southern Marketing Affiliates in Corsicana. Her grandparents are Cathy DeKinder, Barbara Hardin and the late Billy Hardin, and Jimmie Lynn Pope, all of Corsicana.

The prospective groom is employed by IOOF Event Center in Corsicana. His grandparents are Wyvonne and Joe Ivie of Corsicana, and Bob and Robbie Nesmith of Dawson.

Nicole and Brice first became sweethearts in third grade at Lee Elementary School. The photo is from field day that year (note their names and a heart on Nicole’s face). Their puppy love was sealed with a kiss on the cheek, but before long, they went their separate ways when Brice moved to Dawson to attend school. The couple met back up with one another six years ago, and have been together ever since.

They will be united in marriage Friday, Nov. 22, 2013 at the IOOF Event Center.

I am typically not an anxious person. Yes I like to get things done, rather than leave loose ends; that may make me a little anxious.

  • samantha stroube daviss.jpg Take time to breathe

We are all in such a rush these days that time is passing us by and I don’t even think we realize it. This year our family decided to stay home for Spring Break and have a “stay-cation.” I had such feelings of guilt not taking our kids somewhere, because we love to take every opportunity to expose them to the world, but it just wasn’t in the cards for us this year.
