Corsicana — Kinsloe House

The Building Committee headed by Cindy Erwin, with committee members Marsha Banks, Marsha Dameron, Clara Hickerson, Barbara Jones, Martha McCarter, Mary Ann McColpin, Joyce Morris, Suzanne Smith, and Mary Steeley will present its program “Southern Joy Quartet” at noon on March 19, 2014.  The Southern Joy Quartet began as a trio in 1997 primarily singing with Rudy Lopez as lead singer, Joe Lopez as tenor, and Elton Raney as baritone singer. In March, 2000 Paul Furgerson, bass singer, joined them configuring them as a quartet.  Due to illness Paul will not be able to join them. This quartet has done many memorable concerts and events such as: opening for Ivan Parker, nominated for the award “Inspirational Group of the year “by the Coast to Coast Country Assoc. We look forward to them sharing their talents with us at Kinsloe House.

    SEATTLE — A man who used a can of spray paint and a lighter as a makeshift blowtorch to kill a spider in his laundry room started a blaze that caused $60,000 worth of damage, Seattle fire officials said Wednesday.
