Familiar Faces

Corsicana — Martin graduates from Basic Training

Air Force Airman 1st Class Robert A. Martin graduated from basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base, San Antonio, Texas.

The airman completed an intensive, eight-week program that included training in military discipline and studies, Air Force core values, physical fitness, and basic warfare principles and skills. Airmen who complete basic training earn four credits toward an associate in applied science degree through the Community College of the Air Force. Martin earned distinction as an honor graduate.

He is the son of Robert Martin Sr. of Frost, and Tina Radke of Blooming Grove. The airman is a 2011 graduate of Blooming Grove High School.

Baylor University Fall 2012 graduates

Baylor University conferred degrees on almost 800 graduates during fall commencement exercises Dec. 15 in the Ferrell Center on the Baylor campus.

Corsicana: Lydia Elizabeth Davalos, Bachelor of Science in Family & Consumer Sciences, Nutrition Sciences;

Dawson: Callie Kate Callarman, Bachelor of Arts, Journalism;

Fairfield: Jeffrey Dean Robinson, Bachelor of Arts, International Studies;

Teague: Ashley Elise Yeaman, Bachelor of Arts, Journalism, Anthropology.

Honor Students named for Baylor University

Over 3300 Baylor University students were named to the Dean's Academic Honor List for the 2012 fall semester.

 Elizabeth Carol Updegrove, College of Arts and Sciences, of Corsicana; Callie Kate Callarman, College of Arts and Sciences, of Dawson; Taylor Nicole Dodson, College of Arts and Sciences of Ennis;  Kara Beth Long, College of Arts and Sciences, of Ennis; Chelsea Kate Raburn, College of Arts and Sciences, of Ennis; Shelby Laine Spaniel, School of Education of Ennis; Alexus Rene Miller, College of Arts and Sciences of Italy; Makenzie Renee Fitzgerald, College of Arts and Sciences of Purdon; Daniel Isaac Sessions, College of Arts and Sciences of Teague; and Ashley Nicole Lynch of Trinidad, School of Education.

UMHB Students listed on the Provost’s Honor Roll and the Dean’s Honor Roll for Fall 2012

 The University of Mary Hardin-Baylor announced that 341 students have been listed on the Fall 2012 Provost’s Honor Roll.

Ashleigh L. Bugg of Corsicana was honored for her achievements as a student at the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor.
