Local area students at SMSU named to Dean’s, President’s Lists

The Dean's List at Sam Houston State University in Huntsville, Texas, is comprised of full-time undergraduate students who achieve a 3.5 grade point average or higher for the semester.  

The following local and area students were named to the list for Fall 2012:

Christopher Graham, Criminal Justice, of Barry; Larry Milligan, Business Administration, of Corsicana; Martin Padron, Education, of Dawson; Jesica Arnold, Sciences, of Ennis; Kayce Canady, Business Administration, of Ennis; Lindsey Hartzel, Criminal Justice, of Ennis; Peggy Thill, Sciences, of Ennis; Nereida Vargas, Criminal Justice, of Ennis; Rachel Ivie, Humanities and Social Sciences, of Purdon; James Konieczny, Humanities and Social Sciences, of Rice; Jennifer Hardin, Criminal Justice; Cory Holifield, Criminal Justice; Matthew Lupo, Sciences; and Garrett Wickens, Criminal Justice, all of Streetman; Elizabeth Hartley, Education; Kayse Kirgan, Education; and Samantha Reed, Humanities and Social Sciences, all of Teague; and Ki’Undrea Smith, Education, of Wortham.

The President's Honor Roll at Sam Houston State University in Huntsville, Texas, is comprised of full-time undergraduate students who achieve a perfect 4.0 grade point average for the semester.  

The following local and area students were named to the list for Fall 2012: Larry Timothy Milligan, Corsicana; Jesica Lynn Arnold, Ennis; Garrett Cole Wickens, Streetman; and Elizabeth Ann Hartley, Kayse Danielle Kirgan and Samantha Elizabeth Reed, all of Teague.

Former Corsicana resident announces opening of new office

Jerry Dosser, Vice President/COO of UniqueHR (professional employer organization) located in Corpus Christi has announced the opening of their new office in Houston. The office is lcoated on the 20th floor of One Arena Place. This will be their fifth Regional Office; the other locations are in Dallas, San Antonio, McAllen and Victoria.

Mr. Dosser is a graduate of Corsicana High School and Navarro College. He is the son of the late long-time residents Emmett and Margaret Dosser. His sister Rosemary Ross and her husband Stan reside in Corsicana.

Dosser and his wife Joyce live in Corpus Christi.
