Former residents win Texas Treasure Award

Senator Jeff Wentworth presented Sonny Ebensberger and the Fishers with the Texas Treasure Award on Saturday, Dec. 15, 2012, in Boerne, Texas.

The award recognizes businesses who are in good financial standing with the state, have contributed to their communities, and who have been in business for over 50 years.

Ebensberger-Fisher Funeral Home is in its 130th year of operation and is the oldest, continuous business in Boerne. The funeral home was also recognized for being in its historical location.

The Fishers are formerly of Corsicana and Jo Lynn Fisher is the daughter of Billie Mixon.
