Courtesy photo Dawson Garden Club has chosen the home of Sonny and Belinda Slater, 148 N. 10th St., Dawson as Yard of the Month for June. This home has many points of interest. There is an expanse of green lawn with a central focus on an arrangement of items recognized as being part of the early pioneer life of Texas. A wagon wheel, an iron head board, a small replica of a windmill, and a wash pot made into a flower pot are some of the parts of the landscape as is the flag of the United States. A decorative path leads from the front door of the ranch-style home to the special yard arrangement. Dawson Garden Club thanks the Slaters for brining back memories of earlier times.
