— Commissioners to consider bonds
The Navarro County Commissioners Court has called a special meeting for 11 a.m. Thursday in the basement conference room of the Navarro County Courthouse.
The only agenda item is the approval of bonds for newly elected officials. State law requires most elected officials to be bonded, said Tim Easley, assistant county auditor. The bond amounts vary for different elected officials, such as commissioners, constables, justices of the peace and the sheriff.

Lake Planning and Zoning Commission meets Thursday
The Navarro County Planning and Zoning Commission will meet at 5:30 p.m. Thursday in the county conference room located in the basement of the Navarro County Courthouse.
Agenda items for the meeting include three requests for specific use permits for building-related purposes, three requests for specific use permits for gas wells, two requests for property re-plats, and a presentation by Dan Wilkie regarding the Strategic Planning Group.
