Al-Anon meets at 2412 N. Beaton St., Corsicana, at 8 p.m. Thursdays and at 4 p.m. Sundays.



Alcoholics Anonymous meets at 11 a.m. Sundays and at 8 p.m. Tuesdays and Fridays at the annex building of Lakeside United Methodist Church, 515 Farm-to-Market Road 416, Streetman (St. Elmo community).



Frost Volunteer Fire Department has a community service center to help families in the area, who have lost their homes to fire, those with a financial need or those with catastrophic medical conditions. Donations are accepted from 3 to 5 p.m. the second and fourth Saturdays of the month at the Community Service Center, located on Garitty Street in Frost. MLK Center board conducts a senior citizen program from 9:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. every first and third Tuesday of the month. Senior citizens are invited to come and be a part. The seniors do chair exercises, play games and make gifts for special occasions or events throughout the year. Central Appraisal District holds its board meetings at 3 p.m. the third Wednesday of each month at 111 E. First Ave.



Area Agency on Aging of North Central Texas, Ombudsman Program, needs volunteers interested in advocating for residents in nursing facilities in Navarro County. No previous experience is required, 36 hours of training is provided, it takes only two to three hours per week and the hours are flexible. Ombudsmen (advocates) investigate and work to resolve complaints for or on behalf of the resident and work to educate residents and their families on residents’ rights. The Salvation Army, 212 E. First Ave., is in need of diapers and formula for babies and infants. Also, when you clean out your closets and garages, The Salvation Army will accept your donations daily of gently used clothing, household items and furniture.
