Fire called ‘suspicious’
A fire in the early morning hours of Tuesday is being considered “suspicious in nature” by Corsicana Fire Marshal James Palos.
Firefighters were dispatched at 6:09 a.m. to the 200 block of SECR 3040 southwest of Corsicana.
The home, a one-story brick house of about 1,600 square feet, was destroyed, Palos said.
Along with the Corsicana Fire Department, volunteer firefighters from the Barry, Blooming Grove, Corbett/Oak Valley, Purdon and Pursley departments responded to the scene.
Palos said firefighters were on the scene for “most of the morning,” Palos said.
