School bus bogs down
For the second time in a month, a Blooming Grove school bus ended up in a ditch. The incident happened Friday morning as the buses were making rounds prior to school.
Neither incident was a wreck, and no one was injured, according to Superintendent Mike Baldree.
“He got stuck in a turnaround,” Baldree said. “He drives some very tight rural roads. This morning he was attempting a turnaround at a place where we normally have to turn our buses around and he became stuck.”
Two weeks ago, the same driver went into a ditch as he was leaving a dirt road and merging onto a state road.
“There was mud on the tires, and again, it was off the side of the road and down it went,” Baldree explained. “There have been no accidents. The buses have just become stuck in the mud.”
Baldree did not identify the driver.
