— Back to school committee to meet

The second meeting of the Back to School/Stay in School committee will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at the Corsicana Independent School District building. The committee is working on organizing a third annual rally to distribute information, and get kids fired up about the school year. Anyone interested in helping is invited to attend.

Navarro College board to meet Thursday
The Navarro College Board of Trustees is scheduled to meet in regular session at 7 p.m. Thursday. The board will meet in the Arrowhead Room of the Gooch One-Stop Student Center on the Corsicana campus.
Agenda items for the Thursday meeting include:
• Approval of revisions to the Health Professions handbook, and to the educational program and intercollegiate athletics portions of the college’s administrative policies and procedures manual.
• Resolution authorizing the issue of revenue bonds.
• Accept requests for qualifications and grant authorization to negotiate fees for architectural drawings for a new building in Midlothian, and request for qualifications for a construction manager at risk.
• Update on the Honors program and summer science and math academy.
• President’s report from Dr. Richard Sanchez.
