Macedonia Baptist Church, located on the corner of Ross and Marsh streets, Streetman, has announced it will show honor and appreciation for its pastor and wife, the Rev. Joe D. Hubbard and Minister Florine Hubbard, at 3:30 p.m. June 21, as they celebrate 20 years of loyal and faithful service at Macedonia Baptist Church. The theme for this occasion will be “Laborers of Faith, Love and Patience.” Guest churches will include Johnson Memorial Church of God in Christ, Pastor Joseph Johnson Sr.; Bethlehem Baptist Church, Pastor Dairy Johnson; Church of the Living God P.G.T., Pastor Annell Haney; Love Chapel Baptist Church, Pastor David Wilson; Woods Chapel Primitive Baptist Church and Harmony Baptist Church, Bishop John Baker. The spoken word will be brought by Baker. Pastor and Minister Hubbard are faithful servants and supporters at Macedonia Baptist Church and they are also faithful supporters of other churches in the community and surrounding areas. Brown Chapel Church, Farm-to-Market Road 744, Pelham, where the Rev. Rosa Rea is pastor, will have its third quarter for the year on June 21. The presiding elder, the Rev. Dr. Marshall Hobbs Sr., will be in attendance. He presides over 30 churches and pastors in the Paul Quinn District. He will be the 11 a.m. worship speaker. First Baptist Church, 510 W. Collin St., will have Vacation Bible School from 9 a.m. to noon June 22-26 for children who have just completed kindergarten through fourth grade. The theme “Rome” will immerse learners of all ages in Bible-times culture, helping children explore what it might have been like to live as the church was just beginning. Children will experience new traditions, taste new foods, try new arts and crafts projects, and discover that God’s love is the most powerful gift, saving them from their sins. First Independent Baptist Church officers and members will observe Pastor Donald Lacey’s ninth anniversary June 28 through July 12. The pre-anniversary service will begin at 3:30 p.m. June 28 with Bishop K.D. Davis Sr. of Sixth Avenue Baptist Church presiding. Guest churches and pastors also on the program for that afternoon will be New Bethel Baptist Church, the Rev. Earnest Betts; Greater Wilgo Baptist Church, the Rev. Arthur Faulk Jr.; Harmony Baptist Church, Bishop John Baker; and Greater Love Outreach, Elder William Lewis.

At 3:30 p.m. July 5, the Rev. Dairy Johnson Sr., pastor of Bethlehem Baptist Church, will speak. Guest churches and pastors also on the program for the afternoon will be Mount Olive Baptist Church, the Rev. Alfred Cox; Second Mission Baptist Church, the Rev. Larry Polk; New Cornerstone Baptist Church, the Rev. Donné Watson; Pilgrim Rest Baptist Church, the Rev. Gary Moore; and Bethel AME Church, the Rev. Ray Emmanuel.

At 10:50 a.m. July 12, the first anniversary hour will be held. The guest will be Minister Cedric Barber of New Millennium Baptist Church of Dallas. The 3:30 p.m. July 12 speaker will be Dr. Gregory Foster Sr., pastor of First Baptist Church of Hamilton Park from Richardson. The theme will be “A Pastor for Times Like These” from 2 Timothy 4:1-5.

Greater Love Outreach Ministry Church, where Elder William Lewis Jr. is pastor, will have its annual “Feast of the Lord” and “Clothes Off My Back” giveaway beginning at 11 a.m. June 20. Every group home of Corsicana is invited to come and have fun. This will be the 11th year of the celebration. There will be free food, free clothing and lots of fun. The public is welcome. Greater Wilgo Baptist Church, 621 E. First Ave., where Arthur C. Faulk serves as pastor, will observe its family and friends day at 3 p.m. June 28. Lone Star Cowboy Church of Navarro County, 4495 W. State Highway 22, invites you to join in at 10 a.m. each Sunday for worship. At 7 p.m. June 19 there will be a ranch sorting in the arena. For $20, you can sort all you want. The first hour will be clinic format and will be followed by jackpot format. On June 20, there will be a trail ride at Lake Bardwell in Ennis. Riders are to meet at 10 a.m. The next roping event will be June 27. Books will open at 6 p.m. and roping will start at 7 p.m. Buckles go to high point header and heeler roping. Weather permitting, team roping practice is held at 6 p.m. Tuesdays followed at 7 p.m. by roping. At 7 p.m. Wednesdays, there is Bible study. At 7 p.m. Thursdays, there is barrel racing practice. Love Chapel Baptist Church, 400 N. Benton St., will celebrate the fifth anniversary for its pastor and wife, David E. Wilson and Minister Sharron D. Wilson. A pre-anniversary service will be held at 7 p.m. June 27. The spoken word will be brought by Pastor David Williams of Greater Deliverance Church of God in Christ from Waxahachie. The anniversary celebration will be 3 p.m. June 28. The spoken word will be brought by Pastor Erma Young of Calvary Full Gospel Baptist Church. Men’s Community Prayer Breakfast will meet at 6:45 a.m. Wednesday at the Lone Star Room of the Walker Dining Hall on the Navarro College campus. This meeting is open to all men in the community. Open Bible study and gospel singing is held every Thursday at the Senior Activity Center, 919 W. Park Ave., Corsicana. There is no cost to attend. Singing with Patrick and Nancy McCurrin on guitars and Virginia Terry on piano is held from 10 to 10:30 a.m. Bible study is held from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. with Peggy Smith as the teacher of this class. Roane Chapel Full Gospel Church, 100 S. Unity Baptist Church, 406 S. 34th St., where Brother Chad Owens is pastor, invites you to services: Sunday — Sunday school for all ages at 9:45 a.m., worship and children’s church at 11 a.m., Bible study classes at 5 p.m., and worship at 6 p.m.; Tuesday — visitation to shut-ins at 10 a.m., and Bible study at Northwest Apartments Community Center at 7 p.m.; and Wednesday — prayer meeting at 7 p.m. King’s Kids Club meets the second and fourth Wednesdays of each month. Westside Baptist Church, 1522 N. 24th St., will host a five-day club from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. June 22-26 for children who have completed first through sixth grades. The club will consist of songs, Bible verses, Bible stories and games. A free lunch will be provided each day. Word of Life Tabernacle Church of God in Christ, 200 E. 18th Ave., where Elder Lee J. Keeton Sr. is pastor, will have a “Praise is What I Do” program at 3:30 p.m. June 21, sponsored by the women’s department. Scripture reference will be Psalm 34:1. You are invited to come and be blessed by the word of God. The topics will be “Attitude of Praise,” “The Power of Praise,” “It’s in Your Praise” and “We Must Praise.” Four great women of God will speak on these topics.

Also, the church will have Vacation Bible School from 8 a.m. to noon June 29 through July 3. Children from age 3 to 16 are invited to come be a part of the school, and learn more about God. On July 3, it will be “fun day” and certificates will also be given on that day.
