— SNAP helps local pet population
The Navarro County Animals at Risk Foundation (NCARF) wants to help control the pet population. Its Spay/Neuter Assistance Project (SNAP) offers financial assistance to Navarro County residents. Currently NCARF has funds available to spay and neuter dogs 40 pounds and over. If you are a Navarro County resident, want to have your large dog spayed or neutered but can’t afford it, NCARF can help. Large dogs have large litters, often 10 or more puppies. Large dogs are the hardest for shelters and rescues to place. Help reduce the number of unwanted animals by having your pet spayed or neutered. SNAP is being offered for as long as the funds last or until July 17, whichever is first. It is based on first-come, first-served.
