City installs new 3-Way stop sign intersection
Motorists along North 24th Street need to be aware of a new 3-way stop intersection that has been established at 24th Street and Lexington Drive.
The move was at the request of the Corsicana Independent School District, according to city officials. The intersection is at the southwest corner of the campus of Bowie Elementary School.
One stop sign already existed at the intersection — stopping westbound traffic on Lexington Drive. The two new stop signs now require motorists traveling north and south on 24th Street to stop at the Lexington Drive intersection.
Warning signs advising of the new 3-way stop intersection have been placed in both directions approaching the new stop signs. During a brief visit to the intersection Wednesday, two vehicles were observed rolling through the intersection without obeying the new stop signs.
