Church News for Friday, Dec. 20, 2013

Corsicana — First Baptist Church, 510 W. Collin St. will have its Christmas Eve service Tuesday, Dec. 24 at 5:30 p.m. in the sanctuary. This will be a candlelight service and the Lord's Supper will be served. Bring your family and worship with us. Call the church office 903-872-7473 for more information. Also, First Baptist Church, 510 W. Collin Street, in Corsicana will be serving a Christmas meal Wednesday, Dec. 25, 2013 from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the Family Life Center on the corner of N. 15th Street and West Fifth Avenue. This is a free meal for anyone in the community.  First Baptist Church has served the Christmas meal for at least 10 years. Also, meals will be delivered to those who cannot come to the church. Call 903-872-7473 to make reservations for delivered meals.

Harmony Baptist Church, 400 East 12th Avenue will have its Christmas Program on Sunday, Dec. 22, 2013 at 5:45 p.m. The youth department will be in charge at this service. The primary Sunday School department, under the leadership of Sis. Semetric Walker and Sis. Adrienne Perkins, will make a special presentation and the entire primary department, under the direction of Sis. Sherree Hubbard, will give recitations. The juniors, teens and young adults will present the pageant “The Best Plastic Manger Scene Ever” with Sis. LaTresa Hervey and Sis. Annie Solomon in charge.  The members will then participate in a Christmas card and gift exchange, and will give fruit bags to those present at the service. Bishop John Baker is pastor and Minister Vanessa Baker is First Lady. All are invited to come and share with us in this magnificent event.

Intercessors for Navarro County Men’s Prayer Breakfast will meet at Trinity Baptist Church, 1200 N. 13th St. at 6:45 a.m. Wednesday. Men who are interested in praying for all those in authority are welcome to join (1 Timothy 2:1-3) For more information, please call (903) 874-5561.
