Corsicana — First Baptist Church, 510 W. Collin St. will have its Christmas Eve service Tuesday, Dec. 24 at 5:30 p.m. in the sanctuary. This will be a candlelight service and the Lord's Supper will be served. Bring your family and worship with us. Call the church office 903-872-7473 for more information. Also, First Baptist Church, 510 W. Collin Street, in Corsicana will be serving a Christmas meal Wednesday, Dec. 25, 2013 from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the Family Life Center on the corner of N. 15th Street and West Fifth Avenue. This is a free meal for anyone in the community.  First Baptist Church has served the Christmas meal for at least 10 years. Also, meals will be delivered to those who cannot come to the church. Call 903-872-7473 to make reservations for delivered meals.



Harmony Baptist Church, 400 East 12th Avenue will have its Christmas Program on Sunday, Dec. 22, 2013 at 5:45 p.m. The youth department will be in charge at this service. The primary Sunday School department, under the leadership of Sis. Semetric Walker and Sis. Adrienne Perkins, will make a special presentation and the entire primary department, under the direction of Sis. Sherree Hubbard, will give recitations. The juniors, teens and young adults will present the pageant “The Best Plastic Manger Scene Ever” with Sis. LaTresa Hervey and Sis. Annie Solomon in charge.  The members will then participate in a Christmas card and gift exchange, and will give fruit bags to those present at the service. Bishop John Baker is pastor and Minister Vanessa Baker is First Lady. All are invited to come and share with us in this magnificent event.



Intercessors for Navarro County Men’s Prayer Breakfast will meet at Trinity Baptist Church, 1200 N. 13th St. at 6:45 a.m. Wednesday. Men who are interested in praying for all those in authority are welcome to join (1 Timothy 2:1-3) For more information, please call (903) 874-5561.

The Cowboy Church of  Corsicana, 5864 W. Hwy. 31 (two miles west of Walmart) would like to invite everyone to its special Christmas Service this Sunday, Dec. 22, at 10 a.m. Derek Rogers, Pastor, will be bringing the message. The CCC band, led by Jody Thomas, will be presenting the music for this special holiday service.  Hopefully, we will get to hear Jody sing the one song that he sings only annually. It's worth making the trip to church just to hear Jody sing. There will be no Bible Study on Dec. 25 this week.  We, at the Corsicana Cowboy Church, would like to wish you and yours a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.  May this coming year be the best ever for you in every way. The Women Of Glory Ministry will meet at 6 p.m. Monday, Dec. 23, 2013 at the Straight Way Missionary Baptist Church located at 400 South 15th Street where Alvin E. Smith serves as Pastor. Missionary Baptist Church, 405 S. 15th Street, Corsicana. The Christmas season is a wonderful time of year. Sunday, MBC will celebrate the virgin birth of Jesus Christ in the city of Bethlehem some two thousand years ago. The birth and life that we celebrate is as important to the world today as it was then. As the many carols are sung, plays and programs are presented and the wonderful gifts to and from loved ones and friends are exchanged, remember that while Jesus is the “reason for the season” that brings joy and happiness, He is the One who is HOLY and worthy of worship and praise. MBC will meet Sunday at 9:45 a.m. for Sunday School and 11 a.m. and 4 p.m. for Morning and Afternoon Worship. The mid-week services will be dismissed this week because of the holiday. New Bethel Baptist Church, Goodlow, invites you to its Christmas musical to benefit foreign missions at 3:30 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 22, 2013. Guest church will be Spiritual Disciples of Dallas. Westside Baptist Church, 1522 N. 24th St., Corsicana, invites you to join them in celebrating the birth of Christ at a candle lighting service on Christmas Eve at 5:30 p.m. The service will include the singing of traditional Christmas carols, a reading of Luke’s account of the Christmas story, the Children’s Choir singing “Happy Birthday, Jesus” and the lighting of candles.



Bethel A.M.E. Church is pleased to announce the next upcoming event, when the Dennis Johnson Women Missionary Society will observe Women’s Day at 11 a.m. Sunday, Dec. 29. Guest speaker will be First Lady June Greene. Also, the W.M.S. will honor 12 of our senior citizens of the church. They will be “Queen for the Day” and will be escorted by the young people of the church. Honorees are Sis. Katherine Watts, Sis. Willie Mae Fields, Sis. Dolores Carter, Sis. Mable Scott, Sis. The Kingdom Connection New Year's Eve Service will be at 9 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 31, 2013 at the Straight Way Missionary Baptist Church, located at 400 South 15th Street where Alvin E. The Corsicana District Church Of God In Christ Holy Holiday Revival will be Dec. 29-31 at the Johnson Memorial Church Of God In Christ, located at 1700 South Business 45 at T. A.
