The Corsicana City Council will meet on a Monday for the first time at 6 p.m. Monday for its regular city council meeting.
The meeting days were moved from the first and third Tuesdays to the second and fourth Mondays to accommodate Don Denbow, place 4, who has taken a job out of town. For about three months, Denbow attended meetings via conference call, but he asked them to move the dates to Mondays so he could actually attend in person.
This Monday, the council will be asked to vote on some changes in the budget to remodel the billing office, and change the ordinances regarding library fees.
A work session will take place at 5:30 p.m. to discuss the remodel.
Also on the regular agenda is to close a utility easement at 2800 N. Beaton, and award a contract for engineering services for the block grant project, and to cut a contract for a grant manager for that same project.
The council also needs to consider the financing deals on some large equipment purchases.
