The Warehouse Living Arts Center presents the second show of the 2013 season ticket series. “The 39 Steps”. Evening performances begin at 7:30 p.m. The matinee on Sunday, May 19 begins at 2 p.m. The theatre is located at 119 W. Sixth Avenue in downtown Corsicana across from the post office. Mildred Eagle Cheerleaders will host a hamburger basket fundraiser at the Mildred LIttle League games starting at 5:30 p.m. Kono-Ice Sno-Cones, Bounce House, Face & Hair Painting, Cotton Candy  plus many local vendors will be set up to display and sell their items. Each hamburger basket sold will come with a chance to win a prize through out the evening!  Hamburgers/Fries are $5. Many thanks to our local businesses and organizations volunteering their time to make this a successful event.  Donations will help with cheer camp and clinic expenses!  Please contact Jamie Kitchens at (903) 875-9729 or kitchensj@mildredisd.org for information to set up as a vendor.

The American Legion Post 22, 632 N. Beaton St., will host Karaoke Night with Country Sue from 8 p.m. to midnight.  Come on out, sing  and have a wonderful time with your friends and family.  For further information call (903) 874-3936 after 2 p.m. or Like us on Facebook (American Legion Post 22 Johnson-Wiggins).

K.E.S.A. is raising money to build a Veterans Memorial in downtown Kerens. K.E.S.A. will host a fish fry to raise money for the Memorial from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Adult plates are $8 and kids 10 and under cost $4 per plate. Please come out and support this effort to recognize veterans in Kerens. All proceeds from Fish Fry will go the Veteran Memorial. Your support and donations will be appreciated.
