Aug. 28

Adult ESL classes will be offered at First Baptist Church in Corsicana on Wednesday nights from 6 to 7:30 p.m. A nursery is available for infants thru pre-K.

Aug. 29

Navarro Regional Hospital’s Senior CIrcle “Lunch Bunch” will meet from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. in the hospital classrooms. Please join and learn more about the Cardiac Rehabilitation program now offered at Navarro Regional Hospital. Speakers will be Jan Elmore, cardiac nurse, and Vicki Arnett, director of Therapy Services. Lunch proviced by Guardian Healthcare. Please register at (903) 654-6892 or email connie_beal@chs.net. Aug. 30

VFW on West Hwy 31 will host Country Sue Karoake from 8 p.m. to 12 midnight. Come out, meet friends, and have a fun evening.

 

Aug. 31

 The American Legion, Post 22, 632 N. The VFW Post 3366, on Veterans Drive, will host Frankly County from 8 p.m. to 12 a.m. Come on out and enjoy some live music with friends.

Sept. 3

The Blooming Grove Historical Society will meet at 7 p.m. in the museum at 201 S. Fordyce St. in Blooming Grove. The program will be presented by Billy Bason who will discuss his work history with airplanes.  For more information, call (903) 673-2635 or (903) 695-2633.

Oak Valley Crime Watch invites all neighbors and friends for its monthly Crime Watch held at 6:30 p.m. Dinner is served pot luck style, so bring your favorite dish and a friend! Everyone is welcome! We hope to see you there.

    A baseball coach at heart, about a year ago Aaron Tidwell began to seriously focus on education administration. He just didn’t think an opportunity would present itself so soon. Mildred Independent School District board members approved the 31-year-old Corsicana native as the high school’s new principal Monday night.
