Corsicana — Jury Duty notices:

The County Court-At-Law jury panel for Judge Amanda Putman called for Wednesday, Feb. 26, 2014, has been dismissed. You do not need to report.

Feb. 20

VITA (Volunteer Income Tax Assistance) Site open from 2 until 7 p.m. to assist the elderly and low income file their tax returns at the Corsicana YMCA. To schedule an appointment, call 281-682-0928.

The Shakers and Scrapers car club will hold their monthly meeting at VG'z pavilion ( 301 E. 3rd Ave) at 6:30 p.m. Shakers and Scrapers is a very diverse group of folks with a common interest of cars and a desire to help local charities and events. We hold an annual car show during Derrick Days which helps to support a local charity. If you are interested in seeing if we are a club that you might like to join, please come and attend our meeting. For information call Dan Summerall at 903-467-7170.

The G.W. Jackson Multicultural Society Inc. presents A Gospel Extravaganza — Make a Joyful Noise through song and dance at 6:30 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 22 at the IOOF Event Center. Scheduled to perform are  Mattie Robinson, concert pianist/vocalist of Austin; The Gospel Five, Chosen Ministry of Navarro College, M. Jackson and M. Bell, Lifeline Church Praise Dancers, and Corsicana Community Youth Choir, Orlando Williams. Tickets are $15 per person or two for $25. Chatfield Tupelo Community Center will hold its annual Chili Supper at 6 p.m. Cost is $7 for adults and $3 for kids 12 and under. Chili entries are due by 5:30 p.m.

 Dawson Friends of Youth will hold a Fundraiser Supper and Auction for FFA and 4-H at 6 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 22 at the Dawson High School Cafeteria.
