Corsicana — The Blooming Grove Historical Society will meet at 7 p.m. in the museum at 201 S. Schoolhouse Rock Live! Jr. is one of musical theater's brightest and most innovative shows, and will be performed by the Corsicana Children’s Company of Warehouse Living Arts Theatre. It’s based on the Emmy Award winning 1970's educational animated TV series. The show runs March 5,6 and 7 at 7 p.m. and March 8 and 9 at 2:30 p.m. Tickets are $8 for adults, $7 for students and $6 for kids 12 and under. VITA (Volunteer Income Tax Assistance) Site will be open from 1 to 4 p.m. to assist the elderly and low income to file their tax returns at the Kerens Public Library. To schedule an appointment call 281-682-0928.

Eureka Crime Watch will hold its regular monthly meeting at the Eureka United Methodist Church at 1:30 p.m. Special guest will be Brian Srba with Texas Parks and Wildlife. Join your friends and neighbors for this educational meeting. Refreshments will be served.

The American Legion Auxiliary Unit 22 will hold their regular monthly meeting at the American Legion Post on North Beaton St. They will meet at 6 p.m. again this month. All members are urged to attend as there are some important business items that must be discussed and decisions made on upcoming projects. Visitors are always welcome.

Kinsloe House Resolutions Committee will present a program with the Navarro College Collegiate Singers, headed by Dr. Rodney Haedge with Christina Mims as accompanist. Members must make their reservations or cancellations by noon, March 3, 2014 by calling the Kinsloe House at 903-874-5791 or emailing the kinsloehouse @gmail.com.

Mildred Independent School District board members approved the 31-year-old Corsicana native as the high school’s new principal Monday night.
