    Alcoholics Anonymous — Meets at 12 noon every day except Sunday, and 8 p.m. daily at 2412 N. Beaton St., Corsicana.

   Better Gardens Club of Corsicana, which was organized in 1931, meets the third Friday morning of each month, from September through May.  The meeting site varies with the activity for each month, some of which have included day trips to arboretums or botanical gardens, solutions to gardening problems presented by Agricultural Extension agents, programs presented by Master Gardeners, and undertaking civic and environmental projects.  For more information about the Better Gardens Club, you may call Cheree at (903) 654-0759 or Martha at (903) 874-3745.

   Caregivers Support Group — meets at 2 p.m. in the church library on the third Wednesday of each month at First United Methodist Church in Corsicana. For more information, call (903) 874-5656.

    Central Appraisal District board meetings — 3 p.m. third Wednesday of each month, 111 E. First Ave.

    Children to age 21, having physical, mental or emotional problems who are not receiving an education, may call Corsicana Independent School District special education office, (903) 874-7441. CISD offers a number of special programs for students with disabilities.

    Classes for medically-challenged children and special needs children — New Beginnings Family Fellowship, State Highway 22, Blooming Grove.     Olé Food Store has started a T-shirt fundraiser to help John Kormos, battling his second round with cancer. It has returned in his lungs, liver, kidneys and bladder. The shirts are $15 and say “Huntin’ For a Cure” (John loves to hunt). Orders may be taken at customer service at Olé Foods. Please keep the Kormos family in your prayers.
