Calvario Baptist Church, 606 S. 20th. Street, Corsicana and its Praise and Ministry Worship Team will present an hour long concert at 6 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 30, 2012. Calvario celebrates a Praise Service every last Sunday of the month with different members of the church, invited guests, walk-in guests and groups. Calvario has recently organized its Praise and Worship Ministry Team under the direction of Gabriél Rodríguez. Besides the director, the Praise Team includes: Juanita Rodríguez, lead guitarist, José Luna guitarist, Nestor Rodríguez, base guitar, Deanna Ferrer at the drums, and vocalists: Belinda Ferrer, Alicia Aldape, Adela Castillo, Verónica Sardina, and Norma Ortega.



God's Holy Temple Cogic Women In White Women Day Service will be at 11 a.m. Sunday. Program coordinator is Lady Jackie Grant. We have a mighty faithful woman of God who will bring the morning message. Sis. Yolanda Grant Cottman is the wife of Rev. Martin Cottman. They serve faithfully at God Holy Temple Church. Pastor is Elder Eric Grant Sr and Lady Jackie Grant.



Unity Baptist Church, 101 S. 30th St., where Chad Owens is pastor, invites you to services: Sunday School 9:45 a.m.  Sunday — Worship and Children’s Church at 11 a.m., Training Classes at 5 p.m., Worship at 6 p.m., and Wednesday — Mid Week Service at 7 p.m. Kings Kids class meets the second and fourth Wednesdays of each month. Tuesday, a group from Unity visits shut-ins. Thursday, there is a Bible study at Northwest Apartments Community Center at 7 p.m. Sunday, a group teaches and sings at Twilight Nursing Home at 9 a.m. and another group sings at Country Meadows at 2 p.m. For transportation to services, call (903) 872-2861. Bethel A.M.E. Church and the Dennis Johnson Missionary Society will observe Missionary Day at 11 a.m. Sunday, Dec. 30. Special guest speaker will be Evangelist MachleAnn Grant of the Macedonia Baptist Church of Streetman where Rev. Joe Hubbard Sr. is her pastor and Minister Florine Hubbard is the first lady. Bethel W.M.S. President is Sis. Du’Ane Yancy. Rev. and Mrs. Willie L. Greene Sr. are Bethel’s pastor and wife.



The Open Bible Church led by Pastor Dave Alexander is starting in Retreat, with the first service to be at 10 a.m. Jan. 6 at the Retreat City Hall on FM 709. Everyone is invited and welcome to come worship in this new congregation as it forms. Bring your Bible.



Lone Star Cowboy Church of Navarro County, located at 4495 W. State Hwy. 22, invites all to join us for our Sunday Church Services starting at 10 a.m. We have nursery for babies through age 2 years and activities for 3 and 4 year olds. Children ages 5 through 12 are invited to meet in the children’s building for Children’s Church.  We also have the following activities: Monday Nights at 7 p.m., Mounted Shooting, Tuesday at 7 p.m., Team Roping and Women’s fellowship. 7 p.m. each Wednesday is Bible Study and Youth Service. Barrel racing is held at 7 p.m. on Thursday. Everyone is welcome. The Cowboy Ball will be held at 7 p.m. on Dec. 31. Come ring in the New Year with your favorite finger food, fun, and fellowship.



Wesley United Methodist Church is calling all third, fourth and fifth graders to come GROW! Registration for Noah’s Kids continues for its new after-school program at Wesley United Methodist Church that begins from 3:15 to 5:15 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 15  The after-school program will meet once a week this spring, but twice a week in the fall. Children will learn how to care for God’s good creation by learning to grow fruits and vegetables in organic gardens as well as other projects concerning farm animals. Reaching Out to You Ministry of Sixth Avenue Baptist Church, 125 S. Fifth, will be the host church for the final night of the “Year End Revival,” which is 7 p.m. Friday, Dec. 28 at The Pilgrim Rest P.B.C., when Bishop k.d. davis sr. is the speaker; 7 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 29 at The Thirteenth Ave. C.C. with Elder G.R. Moore as speaker; Sunday, Dec. 30 at 7 p.m. at The New Cornerstone Baptist Church with Rev. Clyde Chambers as speaker; then at 10 p.m. Monday, Dec. 31 at Sixth Ave. Baptist Church with Rev. D.R. Intercessors for Navarro County Men’s Prayer Breakfast will meet at 6:45 a.m. Wednesdays. On Jan. 2, 2013, men will gather at 6:45 a.m. at First Baptist Church, on W. Collin St. Trinity Baptist on N. 13th will host the Jan. 9 breakfast, and on Jan. 16, the men will return to the usual meeting place at Navarro College. Church of God in Christ Corsicana District announces a Holiday Revival at 7:30 nightly, Dec. 26 to Dec. 31 (the final session on New Year’s Eve will begin at 9:30 p.m.) This Revival will be held at Kelly’s Temple Church of God in Christ, 501 N. Third St., Corsicana, Pastor Billy J. Kelly. Come and experience the great move of God through these anointed men of God. Supt. Jimmy Glen of Fort Worth will speak Wednesday through Friday, and Elder Ernie Sample of Dawson will bring the message Saturday, Sunday and Monday. Kelly’s Temple COGIC, 501 N. Third, Corsicana, Pastor Elder B.J. Kelly, will have a Woman’s Day program at 11 a.m. Sunday, Dec. 30, 2012. Speaker will be Sis. Gloria Miller of Rockhill Baptist Church, Richland, pastor Charles Kelly.



Missionary Baptist Church, 405 S. 15th Street, Corsicana. An abbreviated scheduled of services is planned for this final Sunday of 2012. Sunday School will begin at 9:45 am followed by the 10:50 a.m. Sunday Worship Service. The regular 4 p.m. afternoon Worship Service will not be held this week only to allow our church family more time with their families and to travel. Wednesday evening Bible Study will meet at 7 p.m. in the Fellowship Hall as usual.  Bro. John Fulmer of Humnoke, Ark., will be at the church on January 6 in view of a call as pastor. Bro. Fulmer is married with three children five years old and younger. As has been done in the past, lunch will be served in the Fellowship Hall following Sunday School and Morning Worship. The Afternoon Worship Service will immediately follow lunch at approximately 1:15 p.m. in lieu of the the normal 4 p.m. time.



Westminster Presbyterian Church will celebrate the first Sunday after Advnt with a special service Sunday, Dec. 30, featuring an inspirational message by Interim Pastor John Conley and the singing of many beloved Christmas carols. The service will begin at 11 a.m. and the church is located at 312 N. 13th St. There will be no church school, which is usually held at 11 a.m.



A Year-End Revival will take place each evening Dec. 28 through 31 at four different churches in the United Together for the Kingdom Work of Christ Fellowship. The service sites and speakers for the 7 p.m. services will be as follows: Dec. 28, Pilgrim Rest P.B.C., Bishop k.d. davis, sr.; Dec. 29, Thirteenth Avenue C.C, Elder G.R. Greater Love Outreach is holding its Fourth Annual Holy Convocation Day Services Dec. 30 through Jan. 4 at the church at 700 East Park Avenue. Daytime services are 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Dec. 31 through Jan. 4; evening services are at 4 p.m. on Dec. 30, 9:30 p.m. on Dec. 31, and 7 p.m. Jan. 1 through Jan. 4. On Dec. 30 is the Holy Musical, featuring The Andrew Brothers of Dallas, and other performers. Bethel A.M.E. Church will have a Watch Night Service at 10 p.m. Dec. 31 with food, fun and fellowship to watch the old year out and be praying as the 2013 year arrives with a renewal of spirit of peace, power and progress. At 11 a.m. on Dec. 30, Bethel will host Special Guest Speaker Evangelist Machleann Grant of Macedonia Baptist Church of Streetman, where Rev. Joe Hubbard, Sr., is pastor. The program is hosted by the Women’s Missionary Society of Bethel, Sis. DuAne Yancy, president. Please come out and support her in this endeavor. Rev. Willie L. Greene, Sr., is pastor of Bethel.

Believers Outreach Ministries presents “Tea and Testimony” from 10 p.m. Monday until the new year at 3301 W. Seventh Avenue. Motto: Keep Jesus in the scene in 2013. Those who would like to give their spiritual testimony in 2012, you have a written and oral invitation to worship with us. Be sure to tune in on 1340 AM every Sunday from 7:30 to 8 a.m. to listen to Single Believers Ministries. Westside Baptist Church will have its 5th Sunday Gospel Singing Celebration at 6 p.m. Sunday, January 30. The All-Music program will consist of solos, duets, quartets, and full choir. There will also be guest singers from other churches. The public is invited to attend the program; there will be a dessert fellowship immediatly following the service. A nursery will be provided.
