Corsicana — Westminster Presbyterian Church will celebrate the first Sunday after Advnt with a special service Sunday, Dec. 30, featuring an inspirational message by Interim Pastor John Conley and the singing of many beloved Christmas carols. The service will begin at 11 a.m. and the church is located at 312 N. 13th St. There will be no church school, which is usually held at 11 a.m.

A Year-End Revival will take place each evening Dec. 28 through 31 at four different churches in the United Together for the Kingdom Work of Christ Fellowship. The service sites and speakers for the 7 p.m. services will be as follows: Dec. 28, Pilgrim Rest P.B.C., Bishop k.d. davis, sr.; Dec. 29, Thirteenth Avenue C.C, Elder G.R. Moore; Dec. 30, New Cornerstone B.C., Rev. Clyde Chambers. At 10 p.m. on Dec. 31, the revival will be at Sixth Avenue B.C.,Rev. D.R. Watson, speaker. For more information, call (903) 874-4873.

Greater Love Outreach is holding its Fourth Annual Holy Convocation Day Services Dec. 30 through Jan. 4 at the church at 700 East Park Avenue. Daytime services are 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Dec. 31 through Jan. 4; evening services are at 4 p.m. on Dec. 30, 9:30 p.m. on Dec. 31, and 7 p.m. Jan. 1 through Jan. 4. On Dec. 30 is the Holy Musical, featuring The Andrew Brothers of Dallas, and other performers. Daytme speakers include: Dec. 31, Evangelist Sophia Lindsay, Greater Love, Corsicana; Jan. 1, Valorie Horn, Taylor’s Memorial; Jan. 2, Pastor Patricia Rischer, Faith Temple of Fairfield; Jan. 3, Lady Kimberly Williams of Abundant Faith of Malakoff; Jan. 4, Lady and Evangelist LaKitsha Lee, Holy Temple Church of God in Christ, Dallas.     The City of Corsicana has notified Navarro County officials it is cancelling its agreement with the county to provide EMS ambulance service to areas outside the city limits. According to a letter sent to county officials by Corsicana Mayor Chuck McClanahan, ambulance service to county residents will end on Jan. 31, 2015.
