The Republican Party of Navarro County is holding its Reagan Day Dinner at 6 p.m. at Napoli’s Restaurant at 111 East Collin Street in Corsicana. Guest speaker for the event will be Texas Land Commissioner Jerry Patterson. The public is invited to attend. Woodmen of the World Lodge 5 will have its meeting at 6:00 pm in the Lodge Hall at 200 W. Oak Lawn. All members, their families and guests are cordially invited to attend.

The Kinsloe House Art Committee, headed by Barbara Jones, with committee members Mable Foster, Donna Ingham, Betty Partain, Theresa Shugart, Barbara  Watkins and Christine Williams will present the talented Jo Skewes, who will review the book “How George became O’Keefe — Lessons on the Art of Living” by Karen Karbo. The author’s fresh and revealing take on the epic life of Georgia O’Keefe is both entertaining and profoundly inspirational. This is not a typical biography fur a contemporary reassessment of the life of Georgia O’Keefe. Local artwork will be on exhibit for those attending to view. Members are in for a treat, but must make their reservations or cancellations by noon Feb. 11 by calling the Kinsloe House at (903) 874-5791.

The National Association of Active/Retired Federal Employees Chapter 1191 will hold its monthly meeting from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m., at the Sirloin Stockade Restaurant in Corsicana. Members and guests are always welcome. Dr. Richard Sanchez, Navarro College District President will be our guest speaker. Dr. Sanchez has spent 49 years in education, including 23 years as a community college president.
