Corsicana — There were hugs and laughs and tears of joy Wednesday as Habitat for Humanity of Navarro County turned over the keys of a new home to its latest Habitat ‘partner’ — LaTonya Jimerson and her family — in the group’s seventh housing project.
Jimerson shared a hug with Dr. Bob Kingman of Habitat for Humanity of Navarro County after receiving the keys to the home.
Fr. Ed Monk, also a Habitat volunteer, presented Jimerson with a new Bible as a ‘housewarming’ gift.
The home is on Gioia Circle off of North Ninth Street, where four other Habitat for Humanity homes have been built on land donated by the City of Corsicana.
