Blooming Grove Crime Watch will not meet for the month of July, due to the July Fourth holiday. Crime Watch meetings will resume in August on Aug. 1 at 7 p.m.

The Kinsloe House hosts the July First Sunday luncheon at Kinsloe House on July 7, 2013. Though the house is officially closed we are still holding the luncheon at the regular time 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. The luncheon will consist of a tasty pork loin or a chicken dish with a salad, carrots, rice and two delicious desserts to choose from. The desserts will be a key lime laced coconut cake and a delicious cheesecake or a sugar free pudding. The Republican Part of Navarro County will hold its Executive Committee meeting at 7 p.m. at the Republican Headquarters at 111-B West Third Avenue in downtown Corsicana. State Rep. Byron Cook (R-Corsicana) will be guest speaker for the evening, reporting on the 83rd Legislative Session and Special Session.
