Corsicana — For the third time in a week, police were called to the Russell Stover candy factory on south U.S. Highway 287 in Corsicana because of a bomb threat.
Monday's threat was made by telephone to the Corsicana Police Department shortly before 8 a.m., and relayed to plant personnel. Employees were again evacuated as a precaution as officers and plant officials searched for an explosive. No bomb was found.
Corsicana Police Chief Randy Bratton said investigators are working with plant officials to try to determine the source of the calls.
Bratton said the caller appeared to be the same one that phoned in threats last week that prompted evacuations of the plant.
Anyone with information about the threats is asked to contact the Corsicana Police Department.
