Corsicana — Life in the Word Bible Church at 1408 N. Beaton, Emma Jessie, pastor, invites you to join them in their Annual Reaping The Harvest on Saturday, Oct. 19 beginning at 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Further information will be given later concerning this event.

God’s Holy Temple COGIC  located downtown in the Home Center will be worshiping God in a special service celebration Sunday, Oct. 6, 2013 at 4 p.m. with Greater Love Outreach Fellowship Church and Greater Cross Way COGIC,  Pastor David Houston and Pastor Dennis Albert and congregation and other guests and friends. Spoken word by Bishop William Lewis Jr.  Everyone is invited to come and worship with us. Pastor Eric Grant and Lady Jackie Grant.

Straight Way Missionary Baptist Church, 400 S. 15th St., Corsicana, invites you to worship with them at 3 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 6 when the mistress of ceremony is Evangelist F. Kitchen. Music will be provided by Mt. B. Zion Baptist Church, and the spoken word brought by Pastor N. Carter. Other musical selections will be by Macedonia Baptist Church, Streetman and Liberty Tabernacle.

Bethel AME Church, invites you to elevate your faith, hope and love. The church and its members were so blessed this past Sunday, beginning at 10 a.m. with Sunday School where the lesson was “The Proud Brought Low” taught by Sis. Dolores Carter, followed by the 11 a.m. service where the Women’s Missionary Society message was brought by Rev. Willie L. Greene Sr., saying the congregation must have “church on the outside.” That was folowed by the Youth Department at 3 p.m. taking everyone a little higher in the spirit with a dynamic message from Minister Kamar Chambers urging the young people to use their potential to do great things in life because we all belong to the Body of Christ. All youth and visitors did an excellent job. Plans are underway for the 141st Church Anniversary to be held at 3 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 10 with the annual speaker being Rev. Dr. Michael W. Waters of Joy Tabernacle AME Church of Dallas. Sis. Denise Freeman is chairperson for that event. Rev. Willie L. Greene Sr., pastor.
