Corsicana — The Corsicana Vendor’s Day November show is hoping to rekindle a childhood memory by making a special presentation by Santa Claus available for your child.

At the November market, scheduled for Nov. 16 and 17 at the Pegasus Ballroom at 801 North 13th Street, parents of children can arrange for Santa to present their child with a specially chosen toy or gift.

It’s reminiscent of the 1950s and 1960s at Sears in downtown Corsicana, says Tammy McWhorter, one of the event’s organizers. Parents can purchase a toy and bring it to McWhorter ahead of the Saturday and Sunday market, then arrange for their child or children to visit with Santa while posing for photos taken by Bb Photography at the market. Santa will then be able to reach into his gift bag and pull out a special gift selected for them. Photo packages are priced at $7 and $15, McWhorter said.

Santa is expected to arrive at the Vendor’s Day on a fire truck about 9:30 a.m. Saturday, McWhorter said.

In addition to the opportunity to visit with Santa during the photo sessions, children will be able to ride a free Holiday Barrel train provided courtesy of Charles Harrison, and enjoy Christmas cookies.

To arrange to deliver a gift, contact McWhorter at 903-467-6364, or Brandy Bruckner of Bb Photography at 903-654-9566. Those wishing to arrange for a gift from Santa to be presented to their child during the photo session are asked to call no later than
