The Corsicana Independent School District Board of Trustees will consider action on the sale of the district’s administration building Monday at a special meeting of the board slated for 6 p.m. at 601 North 13th Street.
According to Susan Johnson, spokesman for the district, trustees will consider authorizing Dr. Diane Frost to execute a contract for the sale of the administration building. The district has been in talks with Navarro County government officials, who have expressed an interest in obtaining the building for use during the renovation of the county courthouse, and to then serve as an annex building.
Trustees are also expected to hear a request for additional teachers for the 2014-15 school year. Johnson said that growth in the district is the reason for the request for additional instructors.
Trustees are also scheduled to hear an update on the AVID program, and hold closed sessions to discuss personnel and real estate.
