Corsicana — From salads to desserts to main dishes galore, it was a delightfully tasty Saturday at Corsicana High School for the Taste of Home Cooking School and Women’s Expo.

Sponsored by the Corsicana Daily Sun, the American Business Women’s Association and the Healthy Woman series from Navarro Regional Hospital.

The Women’s Expo, with over two dozen display booths, and Cooking School with Celebrity Chef Jamie Dunn provided several hours of entertainment and prizes, courtesy of the Expo vendors and Taste of Home Sponsors.

Gibson Home Center provided appliances for the show; Miles Furniture supplied a dining table for display on-stage; Collin Street Bakery hosted a VIP meet and greet with Jamie Dunn; and McKee Lumber and Chip Goodman provided the lumber and craftsmanship for the counter used by Dunn in the cooking exhibition.

Also participating in the event were the Corsicana High School Calicos and vendor booths including displays from HEB Food Store, Harvie’s, Saladmaster, Ambit Energy, Cook Center, Rada Cutlery, Advocare, A Trinity Home Health, Rice Mercantile, Curves, Scentsy, Kerens Cotton Harvest Festival, Stewart Insurance, Shanda Vance, Heritage Oaks Retirement Village, Thyme & Elegance, 31 Gifts, Avon, Scrappin' Good Times, Juice Plus+, Shall We Dance, Cassady’s, Downtown Salon & Spa, Shelf Reliant, Collin Street Bakery, Guardian Healthcare, Navarro County Republican Women, United Way of Navarro county and the Corsicana Daily Sun/Explore Magazine.

The Daily Sun still has a collection of several different “Taste of Home” cookbooks available for sale, all of which would make wonderful additions to your kitchen, or to that of a family member or a friend as a Christmas gift. Get more information on the titles and prices available at the Daily Sun offices at 405 East Collin Street.
