The 32nd Annual Piecemakers’ Quilt Show will take place at the Warehouse Living Arts Center, 119 W. Sixth Ave. Admission is free. Hours are from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday; and 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturdays. A quilt will be raffled off as part of the annual show. Boys and Girls Club of Navarro County will hold a 2012 Fall Festival from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Boys & Girls Club, 1000 East G.W. Jackson Ave., Corsicana. Parents with children ages 6 and older are encouraged to attend. There will be free food giveaways, games, raffle items, face painting and much more. Navarro County AARP Chapter 4653 will meet at 2 p.m. at Northwest Apartments community room, 1360 N. 13th Ave. The program will be presented by Trena Weidmann, R.Ph., owner of P&S Pharmacy. The Corsicana Apartment Association will have their monthly meeting at the Kinsloe House beginning at 5:30 p.m., dinner at 6 p.m. Captain Elmer Tanner of the Navarro County Sheriff’s Department will be discussing safety and security for rental property owners and their tenants. The Lone Star Ladies are a Conservative, Christian group of women who are interested in making our country a better place to live. Join us for our next meeting from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Corsicana Country Club. Lunch is $10 if you would like to eat with us. Our speaker will be Congressman Joe Barton. We will be discussing local and state issues as well as the upcoming elections. This month we will write letters to our state politicians about our concerns about the economy, immigration and other topics.
