Corsicana — Corsicana Police Department

• Walmart security reported two people’s various theft activities, including stealing items and trying to return them for refunds Saturday morning, 3801 W. Highway 31.

• Home burglaries were reported Friday in the 3200 block of Hillsdale; Saturday in the 1500 block of Columbia;

• Arlington Police requested help on a murder case around 11 a.m. Friday, specifically, to look for a vehicle.

• A thief stole a lawnmower Friday from a resident on Gioia Circle.

• Police stopped a man around 5 a.m. Thursday because he was hauling around a stolen 18-foot trailer. Upon questioning, he admitted to stealing the trailer from the 200 block of South Beaton.

• A yard tiller was taken sometime between March 16 and 22 from the 2400 block of West 13th Street. The owner knows who took it.

• Thieves broke into a backyard storage shed either Thursday or Friday in the 1200 block of Lou Ann and stole a bunch of stuff out of it.

Kerens Police Department

On Feb. 21, the Kerens Police Department responded to 410 South Throckmorton Dr., in Kerens, following up on an investigation into a disturbance that occurred in at a local business in town.

When they got there Kerens Police Chief Bryan Miers said they attempted contact with one of the involved parties, Coy Boles, 32. Boles fled on foot, and was pursued by three separate officers. Boles was caught and arrested for evading arrest or detention. He was also charged with resisting arrest and possession of a controlled substance.

During the altercation with Coy Boles, his brother Larry D. Boles, also 32, decided to involve himself, Miers said. Larry Boles was arrested for Obstruction/ Retaliation and resisting arrest. The incident became more intense when Larry kicked out the window to a patrol car. Larry was then charged with criminal mischief. Larry did not desist and was ultimately charged with escape. However, both Boles brothers were eventually transported to Navarro County Justice Center and charged with a host of criminal offenses.

Coy Boles posted bond the following day with a total bond amount of $21,000. Larry Boles remains in custody with bonds totaling $50,000, and a no bond on a motion to revoke probation.
